In conjunction with the Australasia Consulting Group, Output has formed a venture called Centric Management and Governance Solutions P/L, and have developed a suite of products for the management of research centres.
The Centric system successfully combines the practice of project management with the principles of governance and information management. Consequently, authority, accountability, and responsibility across the operational areas of any organisation can be managed in an effective and efficient way.
The philosophy behind our solution is our firm belief that a governance system must foster an environment where the intended outcomes have the best chance of being achieved, communicated and amplified for the benefit of all stakeholders. With the increasing focus on governance, Centre Management and their Boards need to ensure that the governance system is effective and comprehensive.
The system is easily configurable for a variety of different user types, and includes core modules such as Programs, Projects, Milestones & Tasks, User Management, Reporting and Messaging. Additional modules include IP Management, Publications, Reportable Activities, Contact management, Calendar and Effort management and reporting, plus many more.

To date there are 3 key areas in which the Centric system has been deployed in the Research Governance market which are described below. However, we believe the fundamental management principles included in our system can be used extensively in and by any organisation.

This product suite offers all the core components to manage and govern a Cooperative Research Centre funded under the Australian Government CRC funding program. There are a standard set of modules that will assist in meeting the minimum requirements; and there are a variety of optional add-ons, including modules that help automate some of the more time consuming processes for the Centre.

This product is designed to meet Research Centre management and governance needs as distinct from Cooperative Research Centres. Again there are a standard set of modules that will assist in meeting the key requirements of any Research Centre.
